Recently, Donald Trump announced the formation of his campaign’s new Pro-Life Coalition. In the announcement, Trump discusses his plan to nominate pro-life justices to the Supreme Court, to have the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act signed into law, and to defund Planned Parenthood.
“Hillary Clinton’s unwavering commitment to advancing taxpayer-funded abortion on-demand stands in stark contrast to the commitments I’ve made to advance the rights of unborn children and their mothers when elected president,” said Trump.
The announcement caught the attention of the Planned Parenthood organization when Trump vowed to make the Hyde Amendment permanent law, as opposed to its current status as a provisional rider. The Hyde Amendment bans federal funding for abortion. Many pro-abortion groups have tried to overturn the amendment in recent years.
The stance Donald Trump has taken to support the pro-life movement could not be more different than that of Hillary Clinton, a fact voters will undoubtedly be considering come November.
